Byakko Senki Chapter 2 Teaser (Part 1)

Hi guys,
I come bearing a small gift to thank you all for your patience. I know you've all been anxiously awaiting chapter 2. Before getting into the chapter I have just a few things I'd like to address. First, and foremost, please support the author and buy a copy the Byakko Senki if/when it officially becomes available in your country. Secondly, after the release of chapter 1,  I realized that there was a translation error on p34. Makan is a reference to to original FY. Makan was the town in which Amiboshi lived after being pulled from the river (chapter 55). The proper translation for that passage should be: 'Look at this, even their cloth coverings are made with Makan textiles.' I apologize for this error. Lastly, Watase-sensei has said that there were several printing errors in this chapter. I've located and corrected most, if not all, of these mistakes so that it aligns with how Watase has indicated the text should have been printed. Now, without further ado:

Club Fushigi Yuugi?

Not sure if it’s alright to share this here, if it is not feel free to let me know and I will remove the post.

With Byakko Senki rolling out on Aug. 28, I thought it might be nice to have some place where fans can get together and discuss it. Which is why I decided to make a Fushigi Yuugi Club forum.  You can check it out here. Right now it is pretty small since I just put it together two or three days ago.

If anyone wants to share anything or just talk about the franchise we’d be more than happy to hear from you.  We also have a hidden section where members can share fanart, fanfictions, and more. ^^ Hopefully I'll see some famailiar faces and get to chat with you all in the future. ^_^

Otherwise, I am willing to scanlate it and hoping to work again with my former scanlating team :D Shout-out toclymistra,shunanchan,nuriko_special,appaku, and everyone from the Facebook Fan Page and Tieba Baidu~

Here's an article if you haven't read about it yet:
Yuu Watase Launches Fushigi Yūgi Byakko-hen Manga on August 28

Yuu Watase Fans (with Twitter Accounts) Unite!

I don't know how many Genbu fans still check this site but I thought I would go ahead and post this. I apologize as this doesn't directly pertain to Genbu Kaiden or the continuation of the Byakko Arc but I think that it is important, nonetheless.
Watase-sensei announced on her twitter account that her mother passed away yesterday (January 26th, 2016). According to her twitter feed, her mother had been battling serious health issues over the last few weeks and had been admitted into the hospital.  As you can probably imagine, Watase-sensei has been taking it quite hard. Many of her Japanese fans have begun sending her condolence messages via twitter.  I was thinking it might be nice if some of her English-speaking fans sent her some condolence messages too. So if you have time (and a Twitter account), go ahead and send her a message. Her Twitter handle is:

If you'd like to include a short message in Japanese, you might consider one (or more) of the following phrases:

  • 心よりお悔やみ申し上げます。 (My deepest sympathy.)

  • 心よりご冥福をお祈りいたします。(May she rest in peace.)

  • 渡瀬先生もお母様もお疲れ様でした。(This is really hard to translate in this context but it is something to the affect of 'You both tried your hardest.')

  • ゆっくり休まれて下さい先生の作品をいつまでもお待ちしています。(Please take some time for yourself. I'm always waiting for your latest work.')
